MariaDB on ananke.uberspace.de crashed Tuesday 29th September 2026 03:23:00
We observed a situation where the underlying disk of the MariaDB server was inaccessible, presumably due some kernel bug because the actual disk was completely fine.
We had to hard-stop the VM (like "pulling the plug"). After rebooting, the MariaDB service came back up clean. All MyISAM tables that had been automatically marked as crashed have been repaired without issues.
